As a committed educational leader, Geoff brings valuable expertise and experience to the educational fraternity. He is a curriculum specialist, with extensive experience in designing and implementing programs aimed at improving student academic performance. Each of the schools where Geoff has been a Principal has gained an enviable reputation for its academic results and pastoral, performing arts and co-curricular programs.


Geoff was the Headmaster of Oxford Falls Grammar School and Principal of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School in the NSW Central West, where he oversaw a period of significant growth and development.  Prior to Macquarie Anglican, Geoff was the Dean of Studies at St Andrews Cathedral School in Sydney, the founding Head of the Lakes College, Queensland, and the Principal of Shoalhaven Anglican School on the NSW South Coast for more than six years.


Apart from his background in teaching in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, Geoff has also taught at a Junior School level. He is very involved in the wider education fraternity and has sat on the Board of the Charles Sturt University Education faculty and both the Central West Trade College and the Orana Trade Training Centre.  He has been a HSC Examiner and has been an Independent Schools representative on NSW Board of Studies panels.


Geoff has extensive experience with gifted and talented programs, and is excited by the many opportunities that new technologies afford. He is a strong advocate for the Performing Arts and Outdoor Education programs and is committed to supporting the broader co-curricular programs of the school, including sport and cultural activities, in which he has been a regular participant and coach. He has many musical interests, and enjoys singing and the playing the guitar; participating in School musical and dramatic productions.


Geoff has a degree in Science Education and when completing his degree was the Dux of his course. He has also completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration for which he gained a distinguished Academic Record and was awarded the NSW Council for Educational Administration Prize as Dux of the Course.


Geoff is married and he and his wife Julie have four daughters.  He has a diverse range of interests. He has a keen interest in endurance sports and has competed in many marathon and half-marathon running events and is a devoted cyclist. He has played rugby league, rugby union, soccer, and for many years played cricket at a representative level. He enjoys watching a wide range of sports, including those sports which his daughters participate in such as netball and dance.


Geoff is a committed Christian and has taken leadership positions in the various churches he has attended. With 16 years experience as a Principal, he is passionate about education and has no greater joy than seeing his students growing in faith, challenged in their thinking, enjoying their learning, and participating as responsible citizens in a vibrant school community setting.
